About Chabad Cares Nevada:
Chabad Cares Nevada is Northern Nevada's leading Jewish nonprofit organization dedicated to serving seniors, hospitalized individuals, families in crisis, and anyone facing food insecurity or hardship. As the first Jewish charitable organization of its kind in Northern Nevada and the largest Jewish volunteer-powered organization serving people in need throughout the region, we provide nutritious meals, kosher meals, senior outreach, hospital chaplaincy, volunteer opportunities, emergency assistance, and compassionate support for people of all backgrounds. Based in Reno, we proudly serve Sparks, Carson City, Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Fernley, Fallon, Dayton, Minden, Gardnerville, Silver Springs, Yerington, Verdi, Sun Valley, Spanish Springs and communities across Northern Nevada.
Rooted in the Jewish values of kindness, compassion, and Ahavat Yisrael (love for one's fellow), Chabad Cares Nevada brings people together through our Kitchen of Kindness, senior care, hospital visitation, Jewish holiday assistance, volunteer opportunities, and community partnerships. Rabbi Moshe & Doba Cunin
Founders and Co-directors
Rabbi Moshe was trained as a rabbi in both the United States and Israel. He has spent many years volunteering in prisons, hospitals, and nursing homes, offering support and guidance to individuals in a wide range of life circumstances.
Doba brings extensive experience in designing and leading children’s programming, with a special focus on children with special needs and physical illnesses. Her work is rooted in creating inclusive, nurturing spaces where every child feels valued and supported.
