Jewish Burial Form

In Nevada, NRS 451.024 sets the legal order of priority for who may authorize a deceased person’s burial or cremation, starting with anyone the decedent specifically designates, followed by military designees, spouse, adult children, parents, siblings, grandparents, guardians, and finally any other adult who knew the decedent and accepts legal and financial responsibility. To ensure a proper Jewish burial, it is crucial that a Rabbi or Jewish organization be named as the official designee, such as Rabbi Moshe Cunin or Chabad of Northern Nevada, with instructions that the burial follow Jewish law as codified in the Shulchan Aruch, so that the decedent’s wishes are respected, sacred traditions are preserved, and so that you retain your rightful voice even after death.

Experience has unfortunately shown that this is the ONLY WAY to guarantee a Jewish burial after death.
